HELP SAVE LOLITA (TOKITAE)! Since 1970 the Miami Seaquarium has housed a Killer Whale they have called Lolita, who was known as Tokitae when she was a member of her pod back in Washington. She was captured in a now infamous drive hunt that killed several of her family members and eventually ended up thousands of miles away in Miami. Tokitae is housed in a tank so tiny that it is known to be in violation of the Animal Welfare Act, and despite the tank being in violation of the law the USDA continues to allow the Miami Seaquarium to operate. In addition to the illegally small size of her tank, Tokitae has no other Killer Whales for companionship and inadequate protection from the sun.
