HELP SAVE THE RALLY FIELD! The position with the Rally Field (the field next to the cricket pitch) has intensified over the weekend. Whilst a planning application was made on the Rally Field by Waterloo Housing, and the deadline for objections has past, it has come to light that the land (Rally Field) is NOT listed as development land but as Protected Touring Caravan or Camping land on the EDLC Local Development Plan. No change of use has ever been applied for. It is now crucial that we make a huge noise this week to raise local public awareness and put in our objections. We obviously want to stop this development. Building nineteen houses on the land, land that has always been used by Jubilee Park for the past 50 years to generate a much needed £10,000 to £15,000 income each year. Especially as EDLC funding for Jubilee Park has decrease over the past four years from £59.963 to £18.244, ALL funding from the EDLC will stop next year. On Friday 6th June 14 from 5pm onwards the Park are holding a Peaceful Community Rally on the Rally Field at Jubilee Park. Residents of Woodhall Spa will be camping as a sign of unity! Coming together to save a much needed community asset. Please come along and join in to show your support on Friday afternoon early evening. Bring a burger, bring your tents and we might even play a game of rounders!
