HELP TYPHOON HAIYAN (YOLANDA) SURVIVORS Local Filipino American associations are eager to help. Please support one of the following near you. Central Florida: The CFAO (Council for Filpino American Organizations Central Florida) will be sponsoring a fundraising event on Nov 30th at the Marks street senior center - 90 East Marks St., Orlando FL 32801. 1:30pm – 7:30pm. It will be Nov. 23 (Saturday) at 5 p.m. at 14301 Nine Eagles Drive in Tampa. Admission is $20. The vendors will also donate a portion of their sales to help the typhoon victims. For more details, please visit pcfitampa.org Jacksonville: We Filipinos Inc. in collaboration with READ Philippines and Carangue & Carangue PA will host a fundraising benefit dinner at Maharlika Bar & Grill at 7pm on November 15th. The cost is $25 per person at the door. $10 of this cost goes towards the food and venue provided by Maharlika. The other $15 will go to the Typhoon Victims. Donations can also be made on our website at fpdjax Hope For The Philippines Local businesses and student organizations unite for Philippines typhoon philanthropy Hope for the Philippines was established with the help of UCF student organizations such as Filipino Student Association, Pi Delta Psi Fraternity, Asian Student Association, and others to unite together and spread this cause. They will begin an online t-shirt campaign and food vouchers on November 18 until December 10 for donations of $10, and an option of $15 for the shirt and a free bowl from Sus Hi. You can purchase a HFTP United shirt and/or make a donation at HFTP.storenvy. 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the American Red Cross Typhoon Appeal. The funds will go towards aiding areas without food, shelter and clothing.
