HELP WANTED: PODCAST PRODUCER I am looking for a smart, reliable, can-do person to manage the production of my bi-weekly podcast, Reel Talk with Tanya. After producing the first six episodes myself, I’m looking for someone to take over the production aspects of my workflow, so I can focus on doing the interviews. RESPONSIBILITIES I will continue to write the “show prep” and record my show. I want to hire a Podcast Producer to do everything else. *Prior to my recording of the show, the producer will … Suggest guests. Pitch, book/schedule and confirm industry guests. Collect guest photos and bios. Put together blog post on the podcast. Write up social promos for the podcast *During recording of the show, the producer will ... Be online to monitor the recording and handle any hiccups. *After I record the show, the producer will the: Edit the file and tag it with the appropriate metadata. Upload the show to my media server and send a link to me for review. Create “show notes” in WordPress which includes a basic outline of the show. Schedule the podcast to go live every other Monday at 4:00 a.m. PT (U.S.). QUALIFICATIONS The ideal producer should be experienced and skilled with the following tools: *WordPress. He/she should know how to create a new post, insert images, and media links, and schedule posts for later publication. *Audio Editing Software. He/she will have very light auditing duties. It would be nice if the person has basic experience in audio editing. My show is not heavily edited, but the occasional gaff will need to be fixed. The intro and outro are added to the podcast in the post process. *In addition to these tools, the ideal candidate should have excellent writing and communication skills. I typically record six (6) 15 min. podcasts over a 1-2 day period each month. TRAINING I will supply a detailed workflow and training to the producer I hire. COMPENSATION THIS A NON-PAID BARTER POSITION! The producer should expect the process to take 2–4 hours per week. I am looking for someone to barter my coaching services with. I charge $350 per hour and I am willing to offer 2 hours of monthly coaching $700 value) in exchange for your producing duties.
