HELP WANTED: Pet Project is looking for part-time workers at our shelter, morning and afternoon shifts available. Looking for reliable, self-motivated, and trust-worthy team players who can work with minimum supervision. Want a job where you can really make a difference? Help us care for our residents and shelter. Ideal candidate will have experience in animal caretaking in their background. Please note: this does involve sanitation and daily disinfecting of the actual shelter. Complete daily cleaning routines, maintaining assigned area in a clean, organized and professional manner. Must be able to lift, push or pull 50 pounds for situations of restraining or moving animals and lifting food and animal care supplies. Working knowledge of animal breeds, general care and behavior related information helpful. Work with the supervisory, management and other staff members to assure the highest of standards in day-to-day shelter operations. Communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers, management and the public at all times. Will work primarily on-site at the shelter, with the occasion for off-site special and mobile events. Prior work history will be confirmed and reliable references are required.
