HELP WITH ICE BUCKET CHALLENGE & DONATIONS FOR ALS? Can anyone help me out with a straight answer to a simple question WITHOUT me stirring up a HUGE controversy here? I have NO PROBLEM donating funds to an organization to study and discover a cure for ALS … it is such a devastating, deadly disease, and we have lost a number of very close friends to it over the years now. HOWEVER, my desire is to donate to an organization that does NOT incorporate EMBRYONIC stem cells into their experiments. Can anyone direct me? Somewhere other than either: alsa.org/research/about-als-research/primer-on-stem-cells.html or the Catholic alternative: John Paul II Medical Research Institute. Again, I DO NOT want to get into a long discussion here … if you don’t know of another organization … then let’s just leave it right there, but I cannot support an organization that has no conviction about using material from aborted babies.
