HERE I GO ON ANOTHER RANT....BE WARNED!!!!Okay so you all know that my youngest son has Autism. He started school early in the Pals program here in Chattooga county and we had had wonderful results. He is now in a class for Special needs children. They have always had a great set up. The student/teacher ratio is amazing and each child is given the attention they need. Until this year that is, apparently the new Principal they have this year has decided to do away with the mats these children use to take naps on, and their playground equipment. Even worse than that, there are 2 children in my sons class that require a special seat similar to a high chair. This principal is forcing these two children to eat in the classroom because, and I quote They dont realize they are different, but the other students do. OKAY SOMEONE EXPLAIN THIS TO ME...SHOULD WE NOT AS PARENTS, TEACHERS, PRINCIPALS, HELL EVEN AS DECENT HUMAN BEINGS BE TEACHING OUR CHILDREN TOLERANCE OF INDIVIDUALS AND THEIR DISABILITIES/DIFFERENCES?? THIS WOMAN IS BASICALLY SAYING TO HER WHOLE STUDENT BODY IT IS OK TO TREAT PEOPLE BAD SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY ARE DIFFERENT!!! THAT, IF I AM NOT MISTAKEN, IS THE DEFINITION OF A BULLY. LOOKS IKE WE WILL BE HAVING A COME TO JESUS MEETING AT THE SCHOOL VERY SOON. BECAUSE I DO NOT CARE IF MY CHILD HAS A NUCLEAR MELTDOWN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE LUNCHROOM IN FRONT OF GOD AND EVERYBODY, HE WILL NOT BE TREATED THE WAY SHE IS TREATING THEESE OTHER KIDS OR 911 WONT GET THERE FAST ENOUGH TO SAVE THIS WOMAN!!!
