HERES SOMETHING I WROTE EARLIER .....HAPPY WINTER PEOPLE Winter she deals in dreams Cherishes our wishes as they sparkle and gleam She will freeze them for the spring’s renewal Ready for the shoots of rebirth to set in motion life’s fuel She isn’t cruel nor is she afraid Just in deep reflection on the plans that have been made Braided into her ringlets are the seeds of change and solace Take stock of all that has been learnt in the collective annual knowledge Her icy grasp will hold on un-till we have paid her homage, Until one frosty dawn melts her hands of purpose into playful frolic’s As she undress’s, and strips off the darkness she has so serenely worn Lifts her pale head from slumber forlorn Snowflake eyes dissolving as she looks up to the sky All the shackles disappearing, all the fear vanishing, as she waves goodbye It is time for the spring goddess to take over her thrown, To cultivate the seeds of our dreams that have been sown Back into life, the hibernation broken Back into rhythm a new year, a new day a new dawn The LIGHT revoked the spirit reborn By Me...
