HEROINS OF OUR TIME As the late former NAFDAC DG and Information Minister, Dr Dora Nkem Akunyilis road to mother earth is approaching, Nigeria recorded two new heroins in the name of Dr Stella Ameyo Adadevoh and nurse Justina Obi Ejelonu. These two women become heroins SIMPLY BECAUSE OF THEIR EFFORTS AT PREVENTING AND MANAGING WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN WIDESPREAD EBOLA VIRUS DISEASE NATIONWIDE. The first index patient of EVD, Patrick Sawyer, could have spread the disease right from Obalende, Lagos, onward to Calabar, his actual destination. But for Providence and the INSISTENCE of Dr Adadevoh and nurse Ejelonu, the EVD would have escalate beyond anybodys imaginations. The lates Dr Adadevoh and nurse Ejelonu should be included in the nations HALL OF FAME, for this singular act that has saved millions of Nigerians while they become sacrificial lambs at these critical moments in the history of Nigeria and West Africa.
