HESPERIA LAKE: Highs 60* lows 35* water temp 50* Fishing is “EXCELLENT” - The most popular bait this week: Power Bait, Night Crawlers and Mini Jigs. - This week’s best fishing area: Grassy Bank, The Finger and Sandy Point. Some of this week’s biggest catches’ are: - Sang Nguyen, from San Bernardino caught a 10.2 pound trout on rainbow power bait, at Catfish Point. - Steve Holland, from Santa Clarita caught a 7 pound trout on power bait on the Grassy Bank. - Tom Rodriguez, from Victorville, caught a 8.0 pound trout on power bait at the Finger Cove. - Ruben Rodrigues, Victorville, caught a 16.8 pound 5 fish limit, on Salmon Peach Power Bait on the Finger. - Marcos Alcantar, from San Bernardino, caught a 7 pound trout on a Pink Moone Jig, at the finger cove. - Alex Duran, from Rosemead, caught a 8.4 pound trout on Power Bait on the North Shore. This coming week we will stock, 1,000 pounds of trout from Mt. Lassen on Tuesday 2/11/14. Another 2,000 pound stock of Nebraska Tail walkers is scheduled for Wednesday 2/19/14. Winter fishing hours will be in effect from January 1, 2014 through March 31, 2014 Hesperia Lake will be open Sunday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00p.m. On Friday and Saturday from 6:00a.m to 8:00p.m. No state fishing license is required.
