HEY ART FRIENDS AND FIENDS (In the Seattle area) !! Me and Katy Hargrove (and several others of you) had the privilege of taking a week long physical sculpting workshop with Jordu Schell about 9 years ago. And were thinking its time for a sequel. If you dont know about Jordu, heres a quick rundown: Jordu Schell has been in the film and television industry since 1987. His talent as a designer and sculptor is world renowned, and his credits include: “Avatar”, “The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian”, “300”, “Hellboy”, “Aliens vs. Predator – Requiem”, “Men in Black”, “The Mist”, “Batman Returns”, “Edward Scissorhands”, “Alien: Resurrection”, “The X-Files Movie”, “Predator II”, “Galaxy Quest”, “Evolution”, “Babylon 5-The Series” (on which he designed an emmy award-winning creature make-up and the first fully digital creature for a television series), and many more. After some sweaty backroom negotiating Ive managed to get some very general price/date/times/place. We are still in the exploratory phase, so Im not asking for commitments yet, just trying to gauge general interest. What: Maquette Sculpting and Painting Class (physical, real-world stuff) When: Sometime in the Novemberish neighborhood. Price: Somewhere between 3 and 4 hundred depending on how many people we get Time: 5pm to 9pm, Tues-Fri, and then a longer affair on Saturday to wrap up Place: Yet to be determined. Well need at least 20 people to get it down to the below-$400 range.
