HEY CHRISTIAN. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE OLD YOU? Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.--2 Corinthians 5:17 Notice the tense of the verb: The old HAS PASSED AWAY. We are a new creation now--today--not someday. We have taken off the filthy clothes of the flesh and have put on Christ. He is in us to will and to do his good pleasure. Look for the good work that he has already prepared for you to do, the do it. He loves us with his perfect love; therefore we have no fear. Look how safe we are: We are in Christ. Christ is in us. Christ is in God. God is in Christ. Therefore, we who are in Christ are in the almighty God of all creation and He is in us. And we have the Holy Spirit! Talk about a fortress! Is this security? Who can harm us? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?--Romans 8:31-32. This is all good news!
