HEY GOD! ARE YOU THERE? “KEYS TO DIVINE GUIDANCE” KEY 10. POWER OF AGREEMENT Matt 18:19-20 "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them." If people join together with one heart and mind on a matter it’s a done deal. Those in the family of God seal it in Jesus name. Alone we are very limited, but together there is immeasurable strength. Our God ideas, vision, and inspiration are reinforced and become reality as we focus and believe for them as one. This is where it all comes together. Two gives a multiplication factor given to all of our inspirations, ideas and energies. Though challenges may present themselves, a union will chase them all away. Lev 26:8 When two are together and one falls then the other can pick him up. Agreeing is the formula for unity. It’s what we strive after in the body of Christ. It will accomplish things that will happen in no other way. The principle of agreement is like none other. Consider that: 1. It was not good for man to be alone: so God gave him a woman. (Gen2.18) For married people this is the great catalyst, to be unified. Doing things in harmony will make you a powerful unstoppable team. Making two into one is an incredible positive explosive dynamic. Conversely, doing things by charging out on your own will lend to constant frustration. 2. It was not good for man to be alone: so he gave him the Holy Spirit as a comforter. Jesus said, “I will not leave you comfortless, I will come to you.” The Holy Spirit is our counselor, guide, teacher, witness, conviction and truth. His Spirit comes to bring insight witness and agreement to the heart of every individual. 3. It is not good for man to be alone: so he gave him the body of Christ; We have each been perfectly fitted into His body. It’s so important for us to be linked and in step with the local fellowship of Jesus. Eph.5.30 One day, the strength of our union will be the cause for a display of manifold wisdom for the world that has not been previously witnessed. Eph3.10 This is the perfect union that we long for. Christ said it this way: On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you” John 14:20 Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.” John 17:21-23
