HE’S IN THE MIDST. 8/04/13 All my life I’ve heard of Jesus, and one thing I know is this. Whenever I’m in trouble, My Lord is in the midst. Ready to send His Angels to stand at my defense. Keeping the Devil in His place, on His side of the fence. I knew it when I was very young and watched the Saints as they prayed. When they shouted down the isle at church, I knew this was the way. Pappy pointing his finger as the Lord blessed all the church. All the saints praising the Lord and thanking Him for their new birth. I knew one day I would join them and stand upon that stage. Women to the left and the men to the right singing songs of praise. Everyone clapping their hands and looking up to the King. Working for the Lord and not for man, to me it was the greatest thing. When I was twenty five, the Lord called me, He sent conviction down into my soul. I cried for reasons I didn’t yet understand, but the Lord had complete control. At twenty seven it happened, the Holy Ghost came down. I was on my feet reaching up when that sweet spirit came round. Saints realized it as soon as I did, they were shouting victory. I never felt so much love before, my blinded eyes could see. I knew at that very moment that this light was inside my soul. It would be up to me to keep it burning bright, I had entered that great fold. When I tell you He’s in the midst, please know what I say is true. Where two or more are gathered in His name, He’s there to comfort you. Every time I’ve called on Him I’ve felt that He’s heard my plea. From a very early age, that knowledge was placed inside of me. Time is running out and now more than ever we need to pray. Just knowing He is near when I’m in trouble gets me through each day. So read your Bible go to church when you can and always remember this. Where two or more are gathered in His name He’s with them in the midst.. F. R. Parks
