HGRBS Moves it Right Along with "Community Alert Campaigns!" _______________________________________________________ FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE “Community Alert Campaign” – Beacon Hill! Report Date: June 19, 2013 On Saturday, June 15, 2013, as prep for the HGRBS national tour of 2014, the "Community Alert Campaign" moved on to Beacon Hill, Washington. The design of these community visits is two-fold: 1. To introduce HGRBS’ free online service availability to its homeowners and homerenters 2. To uncover any qualms or questions the private residents may have enlisting the support of residential contractors. One thing so fabulous about these community visits is that they are more than just a few clicks on the keyboard navigating through cyberspace. They entail actually being where the residents are and getting more reasons to stand our ground with them. So far, there have been minimal questions from residents of the communities visited. Perhaps, a reason is that people are sort of flabbergasted by the fact that we are actually there for them, asking no money or anything in return. We are there to let them know that we are ready, willing, and able to be of assistance in matters of conducive and protective home improvement policy. However, this visit was a bit unusual by comparison to the others. There were more questions like: do we actually receive calls about, for example, a resident needing window replacement then automatically jump right in to dispatch or to recommended cleared contractors? If our advice, consultation, and support are free of charge, how do we get our money? Lots of related questions. 1. Normally, we do not receive direct calls because we are not yet ready for a call center (something which will inevitably occur in time) 2. We are still, primarily, an online network 3. We neither encourage nor dispatch anyone for work on property 4. We are privately funded There are unlimited questions. We are really pleased to hear and to answer them. That is another great reason for these community visits. In it all, we count each visit to each community a success in that HGRBS is connecting with more residents through also being more than just a few clicks away. This week: Tacoma!
