HI BOWEN! Hold your horses this is a long message! I see youve been chatting with Greg about our documentary, Muddy Scales. Sadly Greg wont be travelling up North with us on our second trip. I just wanted to introduce myself as Ill be the point of contact up North from the 2nd. I thank you for your patience with us as our knowledge continues to grow. And for your persistence - even though our Facebook page looks so very green! Umm... Help! Were totally aware of this and its not meant to be one sided - its basically just that we HAVENT had the interviews. We HAVENT met the companys. And are genuinely (quite desperate) to get interviews - and an understanding, from a development perspective. Remember were Filmmakers. We live in Brisbane - thats why we need the help of the communities up North! Its their lives, jobs and homes. I again, appreciate your assistance and suggestions to us. Please dont stop! Were constantly learning how to incorporate both sides (especially through social media). But as Im sure youll understand its a tricky thing to keep everyone happy. When it comes to the fear of being filmed then cut in the edit to look like the baddies - I completely understand. Ive grown up having little to no respect for media and how biased it has become. My brother was knocked unconscious in a motorcycle accident, then his photo was taken lying on the side of the road, used in the front page of the paper with the headline irresponsible drivers in brisbane. My mum was in tears! Filmmaking is my career and my love and to turn it into something like that - that is so very far from art! - is my worst nightmare. I simply dont have it in me to do that to any individual. Were also needing more suggestions for interviews (the trip is coming up fast) and are attempting to get in contact with the big companies! Any assistance with this would be greatly greatly appreciated! Or anyone youd suggest who has a great view, understanding or experience on the issues.
