HI GUYS! Im back! Got home from hospital on Oct. 23. I was in three different hospitals beginning Oct. 2. I was in Frye Regional (Hollys hospital!) during the week of Oct. 7 when it was determined Id had a stroke sometime within the previous 2 weeks. After that I was transferred to Trinity Ridge Nursing Home in Hickory for therapy. I couldnt stand when I got there but within a couple of days I could walk a few steps. Thankfully, I have no residual effects from the stroke although my memory of the whole ordeal is fuzzy.I am thankful for so much, especially all those who offered prayers on my behalf.Last night I was lying in MY bed, holding hands with Dayne, watching sports and CSI on tv. It occurred to me how lucky I am to be here and that each day is a gift. The truth is, I definitely had a stroke (Holly saw it on the MRI) and I had various infections, including MRSA. Im at home recovering but could still use a few prayers.
