HINCHS REVIEW: 2 Guns I caught this one on a whim out at the dollar theater. it had been a long time since I have been in a theater that doesnt have stadium seating and still has the oldschool chairs but that really has nothing to do with the film. This film took two great actors and threw them into a film that only became great because of them. Denzel Washington and Mark Whalberg star as two law enforcement officers in different fields who get thrown in to the same undercover operation. chaos ensues and many hard hitting jokes come around. the issue here is that while I found myself laughing and engaged I had trouble finding the point to the film. there was only just enough plot to fill a half hour t.v special but they somehow stretched it into an hour and forty minute film. the strange part in all this is that I didnt care. This is pure popcorn entertainment. Characters work so well together and the action sequences are so much fun that by the time you realize that the film has virtually no substance it is too late to care. movies at their core are supposed to be entertaining and 2 Guns is very entertaining so in the most simplistic form the movie has done its job. If you like to watch a movie just for its characters then its more than worth checking out. this is a bit of a short review but, again, there wasnt much to the film. the performances are fun and believable and the film is funny and exciting. very much worth checking out if youre looking for a fast paced popcorn film with a few good faces. check it out. -Hinch
