That these people believed in one God thats called Brahman (Satchitanand-Supreme consciousness) is a known truth. When the rest of the world was in darkness stumbling upon the rock of ignorance great saints of this land tried to explore n explain HIM in Upanishads supposed to have been revealed to them through sruthis which have been preserved till date and revered by intellectual giants all over the globe . They also opined some revered sanctity u may call by whatever name u like, as I feel NAME is the main problem dividing our lives- as potent as GOD who can exist in Nirguna Nirakar Brahman is also capable of assuming akar. It would be foolish to ridicule mortal forms assumed by the great spirit to perform miracles impossible for humans ,as a body is required as a medium to perform ( very much like TV is required to show us the images conveyed by waves.) Daivatmashakthi is another name given to Brahman. It satisfies the aspirations of one and all- If you are religious it is deva -god : if you are a philosopher -(param) Atman n if you are a scientist /atheist -it is Shakti(Energy) Hinduism always believed and still believes in universal brotherhood. Hinduism teaches tremendous tolerance to criticism by others while exhibiting zero tolerance to its own short comings. It is always ready to include in its fold great ideas from any other. Without going very much into details With regret the following statements are made. Hinduism never promoted violence; wanted evil to be eradicated from the doer through reform -n not the doer unless it is the last resort. Through epics like Ramayan or Mahabharath teaches the norms of behaviour. Promotes you to disown people in your own if they are on wrong path and own rightful enemies. Compels you to respect every belief in others if it does not harm you. I am yet to come across forceful conversion into this religion. Like a bronze vessel filled to the brim it makes no noise about its existence. Hinduism always insists thar ones principal enemies are from within (kaam mada matsarya etc)and not from exterior n it is every humans ultimate goal to conquer them n reach God In a similar way if the good human values are to be preserved today we have to get rid of these ignorant rogues like Nirmal Baba a a ashram n millions of such from our society. I am at a loss how our intellectual media n critics do not open their voice against such but critics but pounce upon Modi for making favourable statements on Hinduism. He is not critical of any other religion.Does Secularism in Indian context mean ridicule of Hinduism by one and all including some of us who are born Hindus? Can you see that sort of violence from Hindus for statements made against their religion as it happened in case of salman Rushdie oe Tasleema or in christianity when Angels Demons was released? What harm has Modi done in supporting his belief when several leaders from other communities are testing the patience of a so called majority community by making indecent and provocative statements. Unfortunately these are being made by affluent influential leaders who play communal card just for their own promotion n not for their innocent members of their community .these are used as cushions to take on violent actions by adversaries only. It is worthwhile to ask the leaders a list of their beneficiary commoners. Some of them have started so called minority institutions in which influential own and affluential others are only accommodated.Why dont these tadicals ask them accountability. The secret is Money has no religion u know. We cannot find fault with Modi or Tulsi just by their favourable statements for Hinduism as long as they dont denigrate any other. We educated Hindus are also told that we are not true Hindus unless we criticise the same Ms Brakha is no exception. Let us not criticise her. There is definitely a place for teaching bhagvadgeetha ,strictly not a religious text, to all young ones. As I know nothing about Koran or Bible I leave it to educated intellectual humans among them to decide on what should be taught or not to them.; But only after they attain maturity when they are going to colleges. To preserve human values this should be done on a voluntary basis at the earliest at least in our nation. After Geetha is already a compulsory subject in some university in USA If introduced at school level ,as adviced by HEjustice Dave , I have a genuine apprehemsion we shall only be churning out the same products as from some other religions. Ultimately every life is precious and every one should try to preserve it Every art is great; if we cannot promote it let us not destroy it like bahmini Buddhas I have several friends across the globe, from all castes creeds n religions.I am sure they must all be having the se sentiments A handful of terrorists claiming to follow Islam have wrongfully ensured in minds of not a minority of global populatin that The worlds modern religion is suspicious. I strongly feel wrongs perpetrated by my people I should condemn. We have to introspect whether no or muffled or muted response of all our brothers will make a change though all my friends following Islam are quite rational in condemning the same VIVASWAN VISWANAN AN UNIVERSAL CITIZEN
