HINTS DAILYS " WAEC GRADING SYSTEM TOO CUMBERSOME " In the face of the WASSCE results, complaint tendered by students has shown that the way the examination results are always graded to a fair judgement is not the best. It is a known fact that the current grading system is making alot students begin to detest the whole grading system because of the difficulty in interpretation because you and I were not there when these grading systems were design and taken into cognizance. Gone are the days where examinations results were graded using the alphabets A to F which were easily understood. The latest grading system where the alphabets A to F have been changed extendedly which is generating a lot of clerical errors, noting these grading A1,B2,B3,C4,C5,C6 D7 on and on to F9(failed mark). Moreover, in presenting an oral address by all standard, these grading systems have affected a lot of students till date resorting them continuously writing Nov/Dec to better some failed subjects. A student getting E8 with the remark (Pass) still complains of failing meanwhile F9 is known to be a failed grade score. The legal heads of education who sat and made this grading system should be summond to have a second look at the grading system though the system was explained but the people are finding difficulties in reading and understanding their through score points in grading and would therefore appeal to the appropriate authorities to embark on more illumination execise withregards to the reform in the grading system so as to be absorbed by the benefited public.
