HIRING- NURSE PRACTITIONER Summary: Provide high quality patient care under the supervision of a physician, within the scope of training and education. Assess patient care plans and provides comprehensive patient care independently or in autonomous collaboration with other health professionals. Cooperates with other health care personnel to coordinate patient care and establish mutual goals. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Demonstrate and fosters a commitment to patient satisfaction and teamwork. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Proficiency with all basic medical skills learned throughout RN and advanced practice course work: Phlebotomy, patient interview/assessment skills, appropriate and safe collection/handling of laboratory specimens. Education/Experience: Educated and trained at university graduate level, nationally Board Certified in specialty area based on RN licensure and state authority for advanced practice. Must have a Masters degree. One-year previous experience in an outpatient renal setting preferred. Licenses/Certification: Current CPR (must be maintained by employee), valid state credentials for NP, Board Certification. Valid drivers license if position requires oversight of more than one practice
