HIRING COMPANY ZOA Philippines WORK LOCATION Borongan City, Eastern Samar, Philippines Project Manager (Shelter) MARCH 25, 2014 Job Description & Requirements Position: The role of the Project Manager is to coordinate and supervise the execution and progress of the shelter project. Introduction ZOA is a Dutch organisation with Christian identity. ZOA is to provide humanitarian assistance, in the broadest possible sense, to refugees, internally displaced persons and victims of disasters irrespective of race, ethnicity, gender, religion or social background. In November 2013 ZOA decided to respond to the disaster that hit the Philippines when typhoon Yolanda created great havoc. ZOA’s focus is on livelihoods and shelter projects. Responsibilities: - Based on the project proposal, work out a detailed implementation plan including a realistic timeframe and division of the work - Coordinate the implementation of the shelter project - Supervise the shelter project staff - Ensure that the M&E framework and tools are used in the right manner by the project staff during the implementation of the shelter project - Analyse the M&E data and use the analysis in monthly reports - Pro-actively detect and resolve potential obstacles - Coordinate with the project stakeholders, such as LGUs, partner NGOs, shelter cluster members and the UN - Ensure the implementation of HAP-standards in the project. - Submit monthly and quarterly reports to the country representative Requirements: - a Master in Public Management, development studies or related field - At least 5 years experience in humanitarian aid - At least 3 years experience in leadership roles - A Christian who is able to integrate and express Christian values in humanitarian aid. - Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English and Tagalog, preferably in Waray - Flexible attitude, yet results oriented. - Interpersonal and cross cultural sensitivity. - Able to work under pressures, to cope with stress and meet deadlines. - Able to work in a sometimes fluid and insecure environment Jobs In Management Business Management Consultants Highest Paying Jobs Time Management Training Top 10 Dream Jobs How to Apply If you think you qualify for the position, please send your application letter together with your curriculum vitae, copies of your certificates and names + contact details of 3 references to Ms Corine Verdoold at [email protected] before April 9, 2014 Hard copies of the application can be delivered at our office in Sabang South, Borongan.
