Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record and maintain an acceptable driving record. A License - 5-7 years of experience ($36,908 starting salary) B License - 3-5 years of experience ($35,863 starting salary) C License - 1-3 years of experience ($33,863 starting salary) SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Level A, B or C certification as wastewater treatment plant operator from the State of Florida Department of Environmental Resources. Utilities Inspector Full-time $38,283.00/Year 04/03/14 Graduation from high school supplemented by college-level course work in civil engineering or a related field, and 1 to 2 years of experience in utilities inspections, the construction trade, or building inspections with an emphasis in the water or wastewater industry. Applicants with a Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) water distribution system operator license and/or the Florida Water and Pollution Control Operators Association (FWPCOA) wastewater collections system operator certification preferred. An equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.
