HIS EXCELLENCY THE PRESIDENT IS NOT THE PATRON OF THE BOTSWANA RED CROSS SOCIETY. We note with further disappointment the latest unsubstantiated report made in the Sunday Standard Newspaper of November 10-16 2013. Under its story “DCEC, RED Cross at purposes on suspension of Secretary General”. In one of its paragraphs under the above mentioned headline the, story goes to state that “The Red Cross board chairperson confirmed that the DCEC is pushing the reluctant board to suspend Rammekwa, adding that board would not inform the society’s patron - President Ian Khama- until they have concrete answers. It is here noted that President Lt. Gen. Sir. Seretse Khama Ian Khama is not the Patron of the Botswana Red Cross Society.
