HIS FAITHFUL LOVE ENDURES FOREVER Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise! Give thanks to Him; Bless His name! For the Lord is good; His steadfast love endures forever, and His faithfulness to all generations. (Psalm 100:4-5 ) As much as we hear about God’s faithfulness I still think we misunderstand Him at times. I think that sometimes we want Him to be faithful to us in our own way. In other words, we want Him to faithfully serve us and respond to our needs on our terms and that’s just not the way God operates. Though He loves us with an undying love, He will never be made subject to our own wants and desires. When we get disappointed with God it usually means that we have made ourselves the center of our own lives rather than God. But when God is the center of our life, it means that He is worshipped for who He is regardless of our circumstances. And this is actually the key to understanding our God better. When we worship Him even in times of difficulties He reveals His thoughts to us that are so much higher than our natural thinking. We begin to understand the depth of His faithful love to us as He provides the strength and stability we need to get through the most complicated circumstances. When you draw near to Him in your heart in times of weakness you will begin to understand that He is all you will ever want or need. The storms in life will seem to fade and become less urgent, while the light of His love will become as bright as the noon day sun. These feeble times are actually the greatest gifts in life. Because during your weakest and most difficult times you have the opportunity to experience a life changing intimate encounter with your faithful and loving Father.
