HISTORIC VIDEO~ IS THE PROTEST OVER? Most americans today do not even know what the 1st amendment to the constitution says let along care about this issue of separation between church and state. I think Americans should be concern about their religious freedom. Moreover, think back that just 40+ years ago in the 1960s when John F. Kennedy was grilled for being the first Catholic contender for the presidency of the USA. Back then the American publics anti-Catholicism views were extremely strong and there was a sense that Catholics couldnt be trusted with power. Americans thought that Kennedy would rule through the vatican and the Pope and rightly so. History shows that the Catholic Church has murdered over 500 million Christians during the dark ages (538 AD to 1798). Fast-forward to today most Americans do not know their past history and are willingly ignorant of these things and this is why the Pope in 2015 will be invited to the Congress where laws are enacted. This quote spoken so long ago is being fulfilled: The dignitaries of church and state will unite to bribe, persuade, or compel all classes to honor the Sunday. The lack of divine authority will be supplied by oppressive enactments. Political corruption is destroying love of justice and regard for truth; and even in free America, rulers and legislators, in order to secure public favor, will yield to the popular demand for a law enforcing Sunday observance. Liberty of conscience, which has cost so great a sacrifice, will no longer be respected. In the soon-coming conflict we shall see exemplified the prophets words: The dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
