HISTORY OF TOASE SHS NAME: TOASE ESTABLISHED: 1971 GENDER: MIXED COLOUR: BLUE, YELLOW AND WHITE MOTTO: PROGRESS LIES IN HARD WORK NICKNAME: NANAMAA Toase Senior High School is one of the best leading mixed schools in the Ashanti of Ghana. The school was founded in 1971, from the Nkawie Toase Training College (NKATOATICO). The school is highly populated and has a vast Land area with very conductive atmosphere. The school official name is Toase Senior High School. It is popularly known by the acronym TOSS. The metamorphosed from a basic formerly known as Toase local Authority middle school to become a Teacher Training College which acronym Nkatoasco attracted humour and delight among people from all walks of life in the 1960s. In 1971, it was converted into Secondary School. It emerged as a typical moral school with an urge to rub shoulders with the leading school in the cities. It adopted the name SUPREME TOSS. The name was changed to NANAMAA when Nana Adoma Frimpong the headmaster from 1988 2003 led the school through rapid development.
