HM CIRCULATES POSTERS TO SCARE AWAY LOCAL RESIDENTS AFTER THE TRAL ENCOUNTER Srinagar,July 04: Facing the spectre of dwindling militant leadership across the Kashmir valley the pro-Pakistan militant outfit Hizbul Mujahideen has once again resorted to use to threatening posters to spread scare among the local residents in pockets of Kashmir valley. The militant outfit resorted to this tactic of pasting threatening posters on the walls of densely populated areas of South Kashmir pockets to spread more terror immediately after the killing of three of their top commanders in the fierce gun fight in Tral area. Though the local residents understand the meaning and timing of these tactics yet it helps in creating a debate about their game plan and tactics deployed to scare away the local population and motivate them not to support the jawans of the counter insurgency force by sharing crucial intelligence during operations. The security forces have taken serious note of the posters as they are expecting more such encounters to take place keeping in mind the desperation on the part of militant commanders. Meanwhile, the security forces have activated their ground network of informers to ascertain the identity of those behind pasting these posters in order to break their back bone. According to highly placed official sources, the emergence of posters had earlier spread panic among the newly elected panches and sarpanches in the state and now with ongoing Amarnath yatra season and peak tourist traffic the state government and the counter insurgency grid cannot afford to sit back and ignore the threats issued by the militant commanders.
