HOCKEY: Forward Lawson Crouse of the Kingston Frontenacs has survived the final cut and will play for Team Canada at the 2015 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship in Montreal and Toronto, beginning Dec. 26. Seventeen-year-olds Crouse and Connor McDavid are the only two players on the Canadian roster who have not yet been drafted into the NHL. They are eligible for the 2015 draft. Canadas Group A preliminary games will all be played in Montreal: Friday, Dec. 26, vs. Slovakia, 8 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 27, vs. Germany, 8 p.m.; Monday, Dec. 29, vs. Finland, 8 p.m.; Wednesday, Dec. 31, vs. United States, 4 p.m. For a report on the announcement from TSN, go to sprt.ca/1ASqOTe.
