HOLD HER IN YOUR THOUGHTS, YOUR PRAYERS, YOUR HEARTS Today, we took in 4 1/2 -month-old little red Rouge. What x-rays show so far is that she has a severely broken femur (thigh bone), the result of rough play with her litter mates. The fracture may have affected her growth plate, which would complicate matters tremendously. Rouge is at an emergency/specialty hospital, on pain meds, and is awaiting a diagnosis and prognosis from an orthopedic surgeon tomorrow. The staff loves her and is giving her lots of love and attention. Little red Rouge is just about the sweetest, most stoic, and exquisite little pup weve ever seen. We are determined to give her every chance in the world for a normal, healthy life, and hope all of you back us up on this. Full details when we know more tomorrow.
