HOLDING HANDS JOINS ISRAEL IN MOURNING ISRAELI SOLDIERS KILLED IN OPERATION PROTECTIVE EDGE; GRATEFUL FOR THEIR SACRIFICE IN DEFENSE OF THE JEWISH HOMELAND, OUR FREEDOM AND OUR VALUES Tonight, with profound sadness, we mourn the 13 Israeli heroes who were killed in the past 24 hours in Gaza in Operation Protective Edge. These brave young men made the ultimate sacrifice to defend the State of Israel, the Land of Israel and the People of Israel. May their souls rest in peace. May their memories be a blessing. People of goodwill all over the world are grateful to them for their important role in humanity’s struggle to defeat terrorism and for defending our freedom and our values. Our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with their mothers and fathers; sisters and brothers; grandparents; other family members and friends. May G-d comfort them among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem. The military cleared for publication the names of five of the soldiers: Maj. Tzafrir Bar-Or, 32, from Holon; Capt. Tzvika Kaplan, 28, from Kdomim; Sgt. Gilad Yaakovi, 21, from Kiryat Ono; Sgt. Oz Mandelovich, from Avtalion; and Sgt. Sean Carmeli, 21, from Raanana.
