HOLDING ON Every day one thing or the other happens. God never said trials will not come but He said He will always make a way out for YOU!! God is always victorious. Nothing is too difficult for Him. And what’s more, with His help, you can be victorious too. He can lead you through to victory over any problem issue, or struggle in your life. While this may be easy to accept on the surface, it can be much more difficult to believe when you are in the midst of a really difficult situation. Hmmm! Perhaps you have a mountain of debt and wonder how you will ever be able to get out from under it – or your landlord is breathing down your neck and has even increased your rent because he says he also ‘has to survive’. Or you may be ill or struggling with the illness of a loved one or a friend. In all of this – do you feel like giving up under the pressure? Is there a difficult person in your life? Are you dealing with problems in your marriage? In your work? With your children? Yes, I might not be in your shoes but I have been down some of that path and it’s easy to become discouraged. Easy to begin to question God and ask why evil seems to triumph and get away with their acts. But do not be discouraged nor be envious!! God wants you to lean on Him and let Him show you how to be a winner in every situation you encounter. Stop relying on your own effort and put your trust in God, for He wants you to succeed and triumph in all you do. Victory will come at a price sometimes (you have to work for it), and it may not come right away (you’ll have to be patient), but it will come. Above all do not focus so hard on the present problem that you miss all the other victories God gives you every day. Pray: Father, each day, grant me the grace to focus on Your redeeming grace of unmerited favour and not on problems that may be in my life, in Jesus name.
