HOLIDAYS & YEARS END WITHOUT PASSED LOVED ONES AND FRIENDS youtu.be/WtmAVGPEPSI None of us are immune from this, at this time of the year. Every year, during the ending or passing of the old year and the birth of a fresh new year, comes cherished memories as we remember with sadness, dear family and friends that have passed away. I am a man who has seen the coming and going of 69 years of relationships which also means I have experienced and suffered a number of losses of dear friends and much loved relatives. Many of those losses were from the varied causes due to old age or disease. Then too, there are those suffering souls, whose secret, unbearable, emotional agony or physical torments, caused them to choose death over life by their own hands thus ending their lives and thus our relationships with them. Where they used to be, there is a hole in the world, which we find ourselves constantly walking around in the daytime, and falling in at night. Not a day goes by that we dont miss all of our beloved family members and dear friends. It is always later than you think my friends. The sad truth is, we all, too often, fail to share with those that we care about how important they are to us while they are still in our lives. Most often, we dont even realize how those people impacted our lives until after they pass and are forever no longer a part of our world. So, share that knowledge with the living while you still have them in your lives. How long do we have to do this or how long will they be with us? God knows but we will never know that answer. Remember, forever is a very, very long time. It is a very disheartening and painful the feeling of missing the love and joy of someones presence, especially during the holiday seasons and the changing of the year. We miss all of them, not just those with which we shared those special relationships of affection or intimate love. Even one second can seem forever when you miss someone. The flowers, nature, sunshine, fragrance, spring rainbow and all other things just do not bring the same happiness, comfort and solace when you do not have the person dear, near you. May our Creator continue to bless each and every one of those we have lost! Grief is like a long valley, a winding valley where any bend may reveal a totally new landscape ~ C.S. Lewis When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight. ~Kahlil Gibran Grief is not the time to be strong; its the time to be human. ~ Zig Ziglar Give sorrow words. The grief that does not speak whispers the oer-fraught heart, and bids it break. ~William Shakespeare “Grief is a journey, often perilous and without clear direction, that must be taken. The experience of grieving cannot be ordered or categorized, hurried or controlled, pushed aside or ignored indefinitely. It is inevitable as breathing, as change, as love. It may be postponed, but it will not be denied.” ~ Molly Fumia Life is eternal, and love is immortal, and death is only a horizon; and a horizon is nothing save the limit of our sight. ~Rossiter Worthington Raymond You cant stop the waves, but you can learn to surf. ~ Jon Kabat-Zinn With every bird that sings, with every breeze that blows, remember they are with you, watching over you. ~C. Pulsifer However long the night, the dawn will break. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us. -Helen Keller “There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are messengers of overwhelming grief...and unspeakable love.” ~Washington Irving “May you never forget what is worth remembering, nor ever remember what is best forgotten” Irish Blessing~ May the blessings of love be upon you, May its peace abide with you, May its essence illuminate your heart, Now & forever more. ~Sufi Blessing Like a bird singing in the rain, let grateful memories survive in time of sorrow. ~Robert Louis Stevenson I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love. ~Leo Buscaglia Although its difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow. ~Author Unknown “If we carry our storms like actors pretending to be brave, each swallowed tear will fill our hearts like a bag of stones.” --Alison Asher “Like a bird singing in the rain, let grateful memories survive in time of sorrow.” -- Robert Louis Stevenson Dear friends and family, I believe that in missing someone it is our hearts way of reminding us that indeed, we truly cared for, loved and cherished those souls because of how they enriched our lives by being the individuals that they were and sharing that unique quality with us during their lives on earth. So, to all my dearly departed, long lost family members and friends, my heart sadly whispers to you, Not a day goes by that I dont miss each and every one of you. May our Creator continue to be with each and every one of you. May our God bless us all, the departed and we the living, each and every one.
