Jennifer Metcalfe has left the soap after eight years of playing Mercedes McQueen. Bosses have kept quiet about her exit storyline, so viewers will be left wondering will she get the chance to start a new life? The drama unfolds when Mercedes catches Freddie and Lindsey kissing and she threatens to tell Joe everything unless Freddie gives her cash, Mercedes is planning to leave the country once she has the money but her life is left on the line when she gets an unexpected visitor, Mercedes has a big row with her family at Carmel McQueens funeral and as she heads back home she is left scared when someone arrives at the back door and its clear they arent there for a friendly visit. Fans will see Mercedes legs being dragged away so thats where the question comes in? is she alive or is she dead? Realising that Mercedes is missing the McQueen family ring the police to report her missing and the police announce that theyre launching a murder investigation.
