~~HOLLYWOOD FL~~ FOSTER / ADOPTER NEEDED FOR A 9 YR OLD GSP Here is the contacts email that she sent me this morning.. Hi Joanna. My name is Nicole Jett. We just spoke ok the phone about Heidi. Heidi is a 9 year old pure bred German Shorthaired Pointer who we have been fostering, since 2/21/14. We have been looking for a forever home for Heidi, since December. Her parents decided to give her up after 9 years and were going to take her to a kill shelter. We didnt want that to happen to her, so we took her in. Unfortunately, we are unable to keep fostering her any longer. I have had some health issues & am having to travel a lot for work. We currently have 2 other GSPs, & 3 is too much for my husband to handle by himself. We want her desperately to find a forever home & think an organized rescue might have better luck than we are. Heidi is 9 years old. Her birthday is 5/10/2005. She is liver & ticked. She ways around 62 lbs. she came to us over weight & we are working at getting her figure back. She is a very sweet girl who also loves to play, to go for walks, & to explore. She was not fully trained. She sits & stays. She also walks well with a gentle leader. We have been working on her impulse control and she has improved. She gets along well with other dogs. I am not so sure about cats. She doesnt want to kill them, but she would probably chase them. She likes kids as well. She has no health issues. She does have some fatty nodules, but they are clear. She has all her shots & bordetella. I also have her medical records from her owner.
