A 19-year-old man confessed to firing the weapon, saying he thought she was a monkey stealing fruit and damaging the branches. He aimed his gun and shot, a police spokesperson said, according to Emirates 24/7. The bullet hit the woman in the chest. When the man came near her, he was shocked to find she is a woman, he added. The incident reportedly occurred in the western town of Taif last week. The hunter took his victim to a hospital, but she was pronounced dead on arrival.
