HOLY SCRIPTURE Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed(Proverbs19:17). Whoever oppresses a poor man insults his maker, but he who is generous to the needy honour him(Proverbs14:31). I have showed you all things, how that so labouring you ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said,it is more blessed to give than to receive(Acts20:35). He that gives to the poor shall not lack:but he that hides his eyes shall have many a curse(Proverbs28:27). You shall surely give him and your heart shall not be grieved when you give to him:because that for this thing the Lord your God shall bless you in all your works,and in all that you put your hand to(Deuteronomy15:10). Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifice are pleasing to God(Hebrews13:6).
