HOME BUYERS TAKE NOTE: KHC Elimination of HOME DAP *** According to Kentucky Housing Corporation, the HOME Down payment Assistance Program (DAP) is being eliminated due to federal budget cuts. As of today, June 10, 2013, there is approximately $150,000 still available for HOME DAP. (It will go fast, folks!) *** This funding is on a first-come, first-served basis until current funds are utilized. Once these funds are depleted, the HOME DAP will no longer be available. *** KHC is working on a new second mortgage product for this same income population. This new DAP will be similar to the regular DAP and will eliminate the need for an HQS Inspection, additional HOME forms, and a liquid asset test. The new DAP will not be forgivable but will have a low monthly payment to help these lower-income borrowers obtain homeownership. *** Let me know if you or someone you know wants to take advantage of the old program before it is gone!
