HOME, feels more like I left home. A bit bummy about leaving a mecca in the asian mma fight world, where I got three world-class training sessions in daily. Now that felt like it should be my home. But it’s all about attitude and perspective, the more time I spend thinking about what I no longer have access to, the less time I spend thinking about how to get better. Guess all I can do is just work with what I have, where I am, and try to have the right attitude. At least now I have 6 weeks of data of training at a world-class gym to work with. Time to use it to clean up some weaknesses and build on some strengths. Even though I rel handle my stories over there, there’s still room for improvement. I learnt some new set ups, combos, passes, subs etc that I need to drill and perfect. Also learnt some new weight training regiments to work with. And sparring exposed some things I need to tighten up and work on. Next time I go back, I want to be better, I gotta think not just win, dominate. Might sound cocky, but it’s the attitude you need in this game. I also have to pass on all this knowledge to the youths and my training partners so they can get better. Mostly so they can be better training partners for me. Selfish, but we all win right? They get better, I get better! That’s how it works right? Become the best version of you, to serve the best you have to offer to them? Anyway, also got some good news, literally news from the newsday, as I got home too. Saw that 6 T&T boxers are getting ready for the central American and Caribbean (CAC) games, right here in my own back yard at the stadium, 5 min drive. Four week training regiment begins tomorrow; so you know I there in that for sure, already been in contact with the national coach. Also, I’m sure my boy Chris George, hungry after his Common Wealth debut is getting ready for the CAC games also but in judo, so you know I hadda link up and train with him for that to. Check that, two arts I now get to work with that I didn’t really train in Thailand the last two months. On top that, Rough House Submission Grappling tournament is this weekend, so I sure men in top shape and top form prepping for that. Looks like I will get to work on my new jits stuff, men I can experiment on and fine-tune technique on. BOOM BANG!! Guess I have plenty to keep my mind off missing Thailand. I’m actually all fired up now thinking about it. But I guess until that starts later, for the last two days traveling back, and up to right now, I rel missing Thailand. #Tabanca #Reflective #Perspective #Positive #Progress..p.s. sorry for always writing long post and wearing my heart on my sleeve and boring everyone to death. I’ll do the spoilt child thing, it’s my facebook and I can write what I want to lol ☺
