HOMECOMING WEEK/WHITE ELEPHANT PARADE SCHEDULE AND MARCHING BAND PARENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED In addition to the regular Tuesday night rehearsal and some at-school events on Wednesday and Friday, there are some extra marching band activities this week for Homecoming. THURSDAY, OCTOBER 24TH – HOMECOMING BONFIRE (no parent volunteers needed) 6:30pm Call Time in Band Room 7:00pm Perform at Bonfire The band should be finished by around 8pm – Students may then go home or remain at school for the rest of the Bonfire. Students not picked up by 8:30pm will go to the Bonfire and need to be picked up by 9pm or make other arrangements. FRIDAY, OCTOBER 25TH – HOMECOMING PEP ASSEMBLY, PARADE, AND FOOTBALL GAME While the kids are warming up for the parade around the school, we need parents to get things ready for the game, get water out to the stands, etc. We will need the following: -2 Parents to help check out uniforms starting about 4:00 pm -Parents to help with Plumes -Parents to help out with Pit/Podiums. -Parents to collect plumes after performance -Parents to help out with water in the stands -Parents to help check uniforms after the game FRIDAY OCT 25 SCHEDULE: 4:00pm Check Out and Change into Uniforms 4:30pm Call Time – Warm Up in Band Room 5:00pm Parade Line-up 6:00pm Parade at WGHS 7:00pm Home Football Game After Game Check In Uniforms Clean Room Check out with Section Leader SATURDAY, OCTOBER 26TH – WHITE ELEPHANT PARADE We will need parents to march along with the band at the parade. We have one cooler we will tow along with water bottles. Mr. Carle cant guarantee seats on the bus until Saturday morning when it gets to the school as we need to put instruments on the bus with no trailer. Ideally, about 4 parents to march along, if we have more, great. Parents who march need to be in WGHS attire. SATURDAY OCT 26 SCHEDULE: 8:00am Check Out and Change into Uniforms Load Bus 8:45am Leave WGHS 9:00am Arrive at GV White Elephant Parade 10:00am GV White Elephant Parade Begins Load Bus 12:00n Return to WGHS Check in Uniforms Clean Room Check out with Section Leader (Jazz Band Students prepare for Madera Highlands Performance.
