HON. AYE PEPPLE BLAZED THE TRAIL AS THE FIRST EVER TO ORGANIZE A YOUTH DEVELOPMENT SUMMIT IN BONNY. The Rivers state House of Assembly member representing Bonny Constituency, Hon. Aye Atamah Pepple has called on Bonny youths to develop the spirit of enterprise in order to build capacities and remain relevant in the socio-economic dynamics of the country. The lawmaker made this call during a two-day Bonny Youth Development Summit organised by his constituency office and held at Finima, Bonny Local Government Area, on the 17th and 18th of December 2012. Pepple explained that the summit in spite of representing a conscious attempt to give youths a positive direction was geared towards exposing them to vistas of begging opportunities that abound in and around the communities and beyond. Continuing he said the programme was packaged to empower and build capacity of the youths to become meaningful members of society. Hon. Aye Pepple, identified unemployment, lack of recreational facilities and poverty as some of the factors affecting the youth of Bonny Kingdom, noting that the youth summit was designed to change the orientation of the people and provide alternatives to sustainable means of livelihood for our teeming youths.
