HON. KASHIM SHETTIMA, POPULARLY KNOWN AS KSM With time, the name began to swell up with different prefixes which were titles received as a mark of honor for excellent conduct in the discharge of his duties as banker, public office holder and a politician. The name by which he is commonly called, and which he also used for all his official and private engagement is Alhaji Kashim Shettima, Kashim Shettima is noble name because the personality who possesses this name has decided to from childhood to mark a mark in his life, and with support of his creator, he was able to achieve his wish. From the people I met, there was nobody I contacted did not give me an impressive reception. Kashim Shettima, over the years had distinguished himself as a teacher of teachers, eloquent banker, and as a decent politician for others to emulate, as an administrator too honest for others to envy. Kashim Shettima has been described by all with different beautiful adjectives which confirm that he belongs to this generation as ‘NOBLE’, it is not an overstatement to say that Kashim Shettima is the best Governor Borno has ever had. Kashim Shettima was able to exploit the opportunities, and to integrate all to form a perfect character which is very rare to find in Borno today. Kashim Shettima is not arrogant, nor does he ever boast, he is very reserved. He was ever willing to oblige to all request for his favor for anybody without discrimination of ethnic group, religion, or race. Allah says in Qur’an If Allah helps you, none can overcome you; And if He forsake you, who is there after Him that can help you?
