HON OLUWOLE OKE WRITE..............Chronicles of Achievement /Report of Stewardship : Sometimes I laugh when I read condemnation comments on Wole Oke love for distribution of Cars, Motorcycles, Deep Freezer, Sewing machine, Enlustment of our youths in the Armed Forces , Farming Implements, scholarship and cash for Market women in Ijesa North and beyond and i ask myself if it was a crime to so empower my Constituents. But rather than feel bad I feel fulfilled and happy. Why ? I feel happy because some of my critics are obviously aware that I did other things that are institutionalised in Ipetu Ijesa, Owena, Dagbaja, Ikej Arakeji, Iloko, Erinmo, Ijebu Jesa,Erin Ijesa, Esa Oke, Itegun, Ibala; Idominasi, Ilare, Ibokun and others which I will write elaborately on this Forum.Ipetu Ijesa was the first community I donated 500,000 to during their annual day celebration I and Petirin brought Airforce base to Ipetu Ijesa . Nobody remember these things. I sited a Dam in Iloko Ijesa I facilitated rehabilitation of Efon Erinmo Iwaraja road I facilitated rehabilitation of Ilo Ijebu jesa road brought Ecological projects to Ijebu jesa and donated 7.5m to the community. I also provide Electricity for Ogbeje Community in Ijebu Jesa with the sum of 3.5m While some of of my colleagues were slumbering I brought Armed Forces Games Village to Itegun and Armed forces Physical Training Institute to Esa Oke. Built a Palace and Church in Esa Oke. The Town Hall of the town is there where I left it .I single handedly built a Mosque for Ikeji Arakeji I recalled how some cows belonging to Fulanis were slaughtered in Esa Odo and Ikinyinwa and lots of our people were innocently arrested and locked up in Oshogbo . I had to pay over 3.5m to compensate the Fulani Herdsmen. As at today by the Special Grace of God we have more than 10 officers in the Armed Forces that I facilitated their enrolment . These are separate from other ranks that I cant remember their number. I wasnt the first Ijesa North Son to go to the House of Reps. My very good Friend and Egbon Bayo Komolafe s Father (Our great Leader of Blessed Memory) Hon C O Komolafe was in the House of Reps in the 60s from Ipetu Ijesa , Hon Akinyele from Ikeji now based in the USA and My Uncle Rufus Oluwatayo from Ipetu Ijesa and now my Brother, Egbon and Senior colleague Bar Nath Agunbade from Erinmo. We also had the privilege of producing a senator from Erin Ijesa Sen Mojisoluwa Akinfenwa . So we have basis to compare and contrast. When I give scholarship , both APC and PDP members benefitted. At swoop , I gave women 22m to boost their trade in the 22 wards of Obokun/ Oriade. Similarly I gave the unemployed youths in Obokun 7m. Prof Ajeyalemi is alive . He is from Ibokun and renowned Academician who lectures in Uni Lag.He drew my attention to the fact that we do not have a Federal College of Education in Osun State like others, I swing into action and got one . Land was provided by Ibokun Community but unfortunately I couldnt see it to its fruition because of the court judgement that brought Gov Aregbe which subsequently affected my election in 2011 ditto to the Proposed Fed College of Agric for Ijebu Jesa. Engr Olu Abogan and Chief Ogunsanya FEG worked with me to realise this project. Both projects are in limbo .By grace of God if am re elected these projects and many more will see the light of the day. I made effort to make Imesi Ile a National Tourist Centre because of Kiriji War that ended there. Banjo Olaniyan a very descent , honest and patriotic Ibokun Son invited me to Ibokun day, I donated 1m Naira towards Ibokun Town Hall completion. I also donated over 3m to roof Ibokun Central Mosque ditto to Owena Central Mosque. The Cement Blocks and cement for renovation of Otan Ile Palace were donated by myself and Hon Soji Adagunodo. Imesi Ile got 1.5m from me towards the community effort to set up a private Polytechnic. Almost 4years after leaving the House of Rep I have not stopped helping people , giving out cars(my hobby) and helping communities. Ijesa North people are not stupid neither are they ingrate. We are indeed very UPRIGHT PEOPLE. Am a self made man through the help of God. Some of our young electorates and new politicians needs to know who I was an how I got where I was. I didnt go into politics inpenury ie in poverty. Sola Olowoye can testify if he wants to be sincere. As at 1998, I dont know how many of our politician that can boast of 100m Naira in their Account. I have never been a civil servant neither am I a drug addict/baron , 419ner or fraudster. I work very hard for every kobo I earn. I was a farm labourer, later I became a bus conductor. I never went to secondary school. I only spent 2 days at Esa Oke Grammar school. Through hardwork I studied and became a qualified Grade 2 Teacher, then went to Polytechnic Ibadan for my NCE in Business Studies. I later enrolled to study Economics at the University of Abuja. I had my MBA at OAU Ile Ife. I immediately after leaving the House enrolled at The Institute of Advanced Legal Studies IALS University College London for another Masters Degree in Tax Law and now finalising my LLB at Buckingham University.I founded over 5 Companies between 1988 and 1991. Today I have a work force of over 1000 workers. I always thank God Ijesa North Traditional Rulers Council has the highest number of crowned Obas. Only few and those who replaced the dead ones have not benefited in terms of provision of Cars for their Offices. I also sponsored some of them to Europe on Cultural Exchange visit. Quarterly the council receive a subvention of 1m naira from my humble self. I donated 200k for the commencement of Erinmo Town Hall. I understand my successor built on this and the Hall is yet to be completed. I will look into this as soon as i visit the community again. I just remember now that NULGE /NURTW and NUT in both Obokun/ Oriade got a bus each from me while in the House. I also gave NULGE seed money for their cooperative societies. How much ? I wont disclose it here. WARNING: IJESA NORTH Progress must not be retarded on the alter of party politics . In the Federal civil service now, we have nobody at the higher level to help us . When shall we be able to produce Permanent Secretaries/ Director Generals and Head of Parastatals? Seyi Sijuade is from Ile Ife, he heads Nigerian Railway Corporation, Sola Omole from Ilesa heads NTA, Jide Adeniji from Ila heads FERMA. We need to have a rethink and position ourselves. Ijesa North as Chairman House Committee on Defence, God gave us Chief of Air Staff and later Chief of Defence Staff. Kudos and Appreciation to Egbon Rotimi Obeesun and Alh Alubankudi who laboured for Ijesa North to produce Speaker of the House in 2007.
