HON SUNDAY MELA DANLELE’S MISTAKES For quite a long time I relied posts on Facebook and calls from home about happenings at home, especially about Sunday’s representation, over the weekends I visited Billiri, had a wonderful discoveries, unfortunately, I didn’t wait to witness all the events during PDP State Chairman Reception, but I was there. Previous to being unofficial spokesperson of Hon Sunday as alleged by my big Aunt Rosaline Tasha, I was an ordinary son of Tangale land, born with wooden spoon. In the past thirty five years of my life, I have striven with tremendous zeal and patience to walk out of mental slavery, by not adhering to the recommended syllabus teaches in school alone, I fed my mind with words from great men that walked the path of poverty and deprivation, the lessons learnt I will put it in two words PATIENCE and FOCUS leads to success. Hardly, get involved in the affairs of my community, because of social stratification that placed me in a disadvantage position, that my voice would make any significant impact. Nevertheless, I will say it out, with a full sense of responsibility and a clear conviction; I would recommend those virtues to be embraced by my COMMUNITY. The last few weeks were probably the most intense in my life, I got myself involved, though, to be honest, and I think it was a little stupid. What was I thinking risking my private life and probably my reputation as a quiet and gentle soul on the line in an attempt to change something so entrenched, it turns out that the experience is a good deal, I discovered a lot about human behavior, which will help me in my job, in addition, know the challenges to sustainable development in developing countries. My enlighten friends alleged that my stand is an act of disloyalty to the community, I do not wish to challenge their opinions. My view has been, and still is, that our approach to political development as a COMMUNITY is faulty, and thank God a lot of people are now questioning our practice of politics, I saw no cause to change my mind. Some people will think I have joined the team of sycophants, Sunday is not performing badly once one gets past the indicators of representation put in place by my people, and also remember our political foundation was laid with motive of exploitation by colonial and Northern Nigeria government and entrenched by military governments, which placed our community at disadvantaged position, our representatives operate in a system that was fashioned to enslaved us, as long as we keep operating under the existing constitution nothing good will come out. There are contexts to our circumstances that we must discuss first before a meaningful development will take place. However, I am not against x-raying his representation, but I think our approach is a kind of bullying and, by extension, cowardice in the way he is being treated. Sunday greatest mistake is being part of the team that established “TEMPLES” and abandoned it, the concept of TEMPLES came up during Goje era 2003-2011, and the idea was conceived by our politicians as a mobilization contact point, but the TEMPLES promoted idleness among youth, it become a training ground for all social vices. In addition, Goje style of leadership promoted pleasure without work, a youth can earn a car for be THUG! Unfortunately, Sunday was an active participant of that era. Now, we have a different style of leadership in the state, different way of doing things. The new trend became strange to our people, in the process of adjustment there will be ANGER and FRUSTRATION. Another mistake that Sunday made was to assume that the educated youth have the character ethic and personality ethic to be part of the paradigms shift. Unfortunately, the difference is the number of hours the other category spend in school, while the other category spend on the street, but in term of character they are of the same feather. Most of those he wanted to leverage on their strength and make meaningful impacts are the very people that betrayed him. However, he decided to let go of their betrayal, but some decided to join SALVATION ARMY are now in the frontline calling for his HEAD, to have a new master that is not familiar with their tricks. BECAUSE MOST OF THE COMPLAINS I HEARD ABOUT HIS NON-PERFORMANCE IS REMINISCENT OF THE PAST ERA!
