HOORAY, 2014 is nearly over... As I say goodbye to 2014 I do so - TopicsExpress

HOORAY, 2014 is nearly over... As I say goodbye to 2014 I do so with a heavy and sad heart but with hope and optimism for a good 2015. This year has for me seen far too many lows and not enough highs. This year started off with disappointment where a relatively straight forward job of getting our bathroom and boiler replaced lead to months of misery as the cowboy builders performed a relatively poor job over far too many weeks/months. This blunderous work ended when a new piece of pipework burst and flood damaged the lounge and the kitchen meaning that both rooms were in a state of disrepair for far too many months (thanks somewhat to a rubbish Insurance Co). 2014 also saw the sad loss of a much loved relative who I miss massively (RIP Tony). Perhaps more importantly 2014 saw my wife and myself destroy our once perfect 20 year long relationship and 10 year long marriage. The curtains finally closed on our relationship when Jo fell pregnant at the hands of another man, so sadly I have to admit that I am not the father of my wifes newborn child. I do though genuinely wish her all the best that life has to offer for her new future. This has been a very sad and challenging time for me but with the help, advice and support from a few very special friends and relatives I feel that I have made it through the worst of this situation. I thank those special people for their support getting me through the last 7mths or so. I owe you all a lot. You know who you are ! So, this year has been quite a challenge and has pulled on my heart strings in ways that I never thought possible but I feel ready for 2015 now and I hope it turns out to be a happy and prosperous new year for me and anybody that knows me. Cheers and Best Wishes, Simon
