HOPE UPDATE!!!! On December 1st we got a call from a local shelter that they had a horribly injured young girl who, without our help, would be euthanized within hours. DRSF decided to give her a chance and named this sweet girl Hope. With the amazing support of our community we quickly raised the money needed to get her the help she needed and Dr. Horgan went to work to put her back together. Then off to Dr. Loeser for weeks of therapy to help her heal. This story touched thousands of people, but one heart was grabbed and Hope did not let go. Her now new mommy put in an application and, once approved, made plans to come from North Carolina to Broward County to get her. Yesterday, her mom texted Hopes foster mom and said that another week was too long to wait and asked if she could she start driving south. Of course, the answer was yes and she made it to her new girl shortly after midnight last night. It was an instant love connection and sweet, sweet Hope is on the way home where she will never have to worry about anything again. Thank you all for helping us get Hope the care she needed so that she can have the life she deserves!!
