HOPE from The Sanctuary of Hope March 8 2014 His Strength How strong is your faith for the future? How strong is your heart for the battles ahead? How strong is your mind set for difficult times? Matthew 7:24 - 29 speaks about two houses - one built on a rock and the other built on sand. It says three things came their way to test their ability to stand. The wind blew against them, the rains descended on them, and the floods came. What are the chances that these homes are still standing? How much pressure are we capable of handling? Proverbs 24:10 says, “If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small.” In Psalm 121:2 we read, “My help comes from the Lord.” - God’s Word strengthens us. - Hearing the voice of the Holy Spirit comforts us. - Remembering how God has been faithful in our lives gives us renewed faith that He remains faithful. - praying, lifting our voices to God gives keeps us strong Read these verses - Psalm 118:5-6 I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a large place. The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me? Psalm 61:2 From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. James 1:2 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
