HOPE’S GREATER LOVE PROJECT takes off this weekend as millions of people around the country mark Remembrance as part of the centenary of World War 1. At this unique point in the history of the UK, churches are at the heart of thousands of community events. Prince Charles said in his endorsement: I am delighted that HOPE has brought together the churches, Christian ministries, and the military chaplaincies of all denominations to produce resources under the banner of Greater Love. This is clearly a significant moment for the United Kingdom and, indeed, the Commonwealth and so I can only wish this initiative every possible success in its most laudable aims. The Greater Love project will reach its climax in December as sports stadia, cathedrals and churches host Silent Night Carols for communities to remember the 1914 Christmas Truce.
