HOPPO WINS NCOM Colorful Chris Hopkinson (shown here in RAAM) has made it into the record book as the first finisher of the 1000 mile No Country For Old Men, completing the course in 71 hrs. 58 min. Still on course in second place is Norm Hageman. Hageman’s pace is just under 5 hours behind Hoppo’s. Hageman reached time station #12 in 69 hours and 24 minutes with about 80 more miles to go to the finish. In third is Jose Bermudez (shown here in RAAM 2013), dean of the College of Liberal Arts at Texas A&M University. Bermudez, successfully completed Race Across the West (RAW) in 2010 then entered RAAM in 2013, an effort that ended just past the halfway mark due to a case of Shermer’s Neck.
