HORN OKAY PLEASE or USE YOUR DIPPER (please read with a British accent) As Gentlemen Explorers we have been described as “fancy” and “delicate” and “prone to weeping.” But we have nowhere near the neediness of the infamous two-stroke engine…the temperamental diva of the internal combustion world and powerhouse of the Indian Rickshaw. This will be the engineering marvel that will propel Team Wanderlust – Hollywood to Bollywood across 3000km of terrain that can only be called “lunar-like” or as one person in the know commented “like streets hit by the Luftwaffe.” (Okay, drop the British accent. You sound like a drunk Benny Hill.) Producing close to 36 horsepower and, with a top downhill speed of 30 mph, this three-wheeled Cerberus must take us a minimum of 215km (or 133 miles) a day. Sooo, if we average 20mph…add the time…carry the 1…divide by Celsius… that comes to…632 miles a day! Wait, that’s not right. My math skills are just a little better than my skills as a mechanic, so let’s just say we will be spending a lot of time on, or alongside, the road.
